OUR STORY
What started out as just a small dream in the early 1900s has morphed into something tremendously life-changing here at Whitewater.
In 1957, a permanent "camp in the woods" was made possible by the generosity of Mr. & Mrs. Harlow, a couple from Center Square, Indiana. Their donation of 22 acres was enough land to build a camp where youth could come and immerse in a faith-building experience with others their own age.
The mission of Whitewater Christian Service Camp has always been to teach the next generation how to be better stewards of the Word of God. We believe that change is only possible through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Countless lives have met Jesus in their brokenness through the intentional community we offer, and through that, have responded to the Gospel, giving their lives to Christ by being baptized, and carrying on the message of the Gospel. That is what Whitewater is all about. We live to see the Gospel carried on through the next generation. The principle we stand by is that of Discipleship as taught and commanded by Jesus:
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." - Matthew 28:19-20
